Carol Taylor, JM-Compliance, REBC

Carol Taylor, Compliance Specialist at CRC Benefits, brings over 35 years of expertise in the employee benefits industry, spanning insurance accounting, account management, and compliance. Carol earned a Juris Master's degree with High Distinction in March 2023, specializing in healthcare and corporate compliance at Liberty University. She also earned a B.S.B.A in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and is a licensed life and health agent in Florida.

From July 2017 through June 2022, Carol served as the National Association of Benefits & Insurance Professionals - Florida (NABIP-FL) State Legislative Chair and continues to serve on its Board of Directors. While supporting the current Legislative Chair, she has also served as Chair of Professional Development since July 2023. From July 2013 through June 2017, she served on the National Legislative Council for the National Association of Benefits & Insurance Professionals (NABIP), served on various committees, and assisted with responses to regulatory releases and gathering data on tens of thousands of plans nationwide to show the effects of the Cadillac Tax. She continues to serve at the national level as the longest-standing member of the Compliance Corner Committee (since July 2013).

Carol was honored with the NABIP-FL Scott Robertson Legislative Excellence Award in August 2019. NABIP recognized her in February 2016 for her assistance with legislative issues, particularly her work on the Cadillac Tax, a tax provision included in the ACA and later repealed. Carol also serves as a national instructor for NABIP certification courses and develops course materials for their certification and designation courses. She has also written several courses for the NABIP-FL School and currently serves as Jacksonville Chapter Treasurer.
