Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Identify and explain the definition, role, and core responsibilities of a fiduciary.
- Describe the historical development and ongoing evolution of the fiduciary standard.
- Recognize how fiduciary requirements have impacted the retirement industry.
- Summarize key legal and regulatory requirements applicable to fiduciaries, including provisions of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA).
- Identify regulatory enforcement mechanisms and legal consequences associated with fiduciary noncompliance.
- Explain the principles of Behavioral Governance as they apply to fiduciary decision-making.
- Apply the Engage, Explore, and Envision stages of the Behavioral Governance framework to fiduciary responsibilities.
